Role Description

This full-time Estimator role is an on-site position based in White Lake, MI. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other job-related documents. The role includes communicating with vendors and contractors to obtain pricing information, creating detailed proposals, and coordinating with project managers to ensure alignment with budgets. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cost databases, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and contributing to the overall project planning process.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and architectural plans
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to create accurate cost estimates
• Experience with estimating software and project management tools
• Ability to effectively communicate with vendors and contractors to gather pricing and project details
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of materials and processes related to glass and door installations is a requirement
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in a similar estimating or construction-related role is highly desirable
