As a battery test engineer, you plan, develop and execute different methods to test batteries to ensure that they meet all the technical and legal specifications for safety and design under different operating conditions. They will also ensure they work properly before the company manufactures them on a large scale. Your duties are to test the entire battery system and individual features, such as the cell or the electronic circuitry, if it connects to another product. One of your primary responsibilities is to develop various methods of testing the batteries in real-world conditions to ensure no defects.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, prepare,monitor, and execute the test programs for batteries on the test bench;
- Analyze the data sets,identifythe trends to assess the battery performance, and identify the areas of improvement.
- Effectively use the test equipment tomonitorand record voltage, current, temperature, and other relevant parameters during the testing.
- Investigate the root cause of failures,identifydesign or manufacturing flaws, and propose corrective actions to enhance battery performance and reliability.
- Creating test programs for battery systems based on standard regulation norms or technical standards;
- Continuous control of the running projects, data evaluation, the required methods, and equipment adjusting .
- Identifyopportunities to enhance testing methodologies, optimize the test parameter, and explore new testing techniques or equipment that improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Create andmaintainaccurateand detailed documentation, including test procedures, setups, and results.
- Communicate the test findings and reports to the relevant stakeholders, including the manufacturer. In some cases staying in touch with the customer, presenting data to the customer.
- All other duties assigned .
- Hands-on experience with cell test/data monitoring, battery module, and/or pack test/data monitoring.
- Hands-on experience writing test plan development and preparing samples for tests.
- Experience in successfully writing SOPs and Test Plans.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and communicate with a team.
- Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or any comparable degree.
- Experienced working in a comparable position is an advantage.
- Very goodcommand of written and spoken English.
- Experienced in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
- Excellent team and communication skills, a high degree of initiative, determination as well as flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to travel abroad to support testing.
- This position may require the ability to perform tasks that involve sitting, standing, walking, lifting 25 lbs , computer work and other physical activities. Candidates should be able to meet these physical demands with or without reasonable accommodations.
