Position Summary
EFTEC North America is seeking an experienced Paycom Expert / HRIS Training Consultant to work onsite, on a 90 day contract basis, with our Human Resources team in Taylor, Michigan. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert for all major aspects of Paycom, providing hands-on instruction, process support, and system setup assistance. The selected consultant will help train the HR team, document processes and procedures, improve consistency, and support the setup and optimization of Paycom features used in day-to-day HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the onsite Paycom subject matter expert during the contract period.
- Train the HR team on core Paycom modules, workflows, and daily system usage.
- Review current Paycom practices and identify opportunities for improved efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Assist the HR team with setup, configuration, and optimization of various Paycom options and system features.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices related to Paycom.
- Create clear step-by-step guides, process maps, checklists, and training materials for HR users.
- Provide hands-on support for employee data management, onboarding, time and attendance, leave tracking, workflow approvals, and reporting.
- Partner with HR leadership to align Paycom processes with company policy, operational needs, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot user issues, workflow bottlenecks, and setup challenges and recommend practical solutions.
- Support knowledge transfer so the HR team can confidently and independently manage Paycom after the engagement ends.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Paycom administrator, consultant, trainer, implementation specialist, or advanced end user.
- Strong working knowledge of Paycom modules, configuration, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience training HR, payroll, and management teams on HRIS systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create organized process documentation, SOPs, and user guides.
- Strong understanding of HR operations and employee lifecycle processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work onsite in Taylor, Michigan and collaborate directly with the HR team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting manufacturing, plant, or multi-shift environments.
- Experience with process cleanup, HRIS optimization, or workflow redesign projects.
- Background in payroll support, timekeeping, onboarding, benefits administration, or compliance processes within Paycom.
- Previous consulting or project-based HR systems training experience.
