Job Summary
Efofex, Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in operating forklifts or in a similar role as a material handler. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform order filler or order picking duties in addition to their operation of the forklift.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products.
- Move materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers.
- Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products.
- Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintaining records of materials moved.
- Collaborate with other workers and team members to meet production and delivery schedules.
- Report any product damage or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
- Responsible for managing material workflows.
- Unloading and counting of round/baled raw materials.
- Documenting of finished goods and materials moved daily.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience operating a forklift or in a similar role as a material handler.
- Forklift Clamp truck experience highly preferred.
- OSHA Forklift Certification required
- Must have a clean background and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to work 2-2-3 schedule 6 pm - 6 am (12-hour shifts).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
- Good communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
