Position Summary
The Business Development Associate plays a critical role in driving growth across EFL Global’s logistics network by developing new customer relationships and strengthening existing ones. This individual will partner closely with our pricing and operations teams to deliver competitive, customized freight solutions that meet client needs. The ideal candidate is an energetic self-starter who understands global logistics and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. ONLY Candidates that reside in NC, SC considered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Growth & Client Acquisition
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach, cold calling, and networking within key verticals.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients across air, ocean, and ground freight segments.
- Collaborate with pricing and procurement teams to prepare accurate, competitive proposals and quotes tailored to client requirements.
- Present EFL’s value proposition clearly and confidently to prospective customers.
2. Account Management & Customer Success
- Partner with operations to ensure seamless shipment execution and exceptional service delivery.
- Maintain strong communication and relationships with existing customers to identify opportunities for additional services and account expansion.
- Serve as a trusted logistics advisor to customers, offering insight into market conditions, transit options, and supply chain best practices.
3. Reporting & Collaboration
- Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue metrics in CRM tools.
- Participate in commercial meetings, quarterly reviews, and regional sales strategy discussions.
- Share market intelligence and competitive insights to support strategic pricing and service improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sales (air, ocean, or customs brokerage preferred).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to grow within an expanding global organization.
- Ability to travel locally for client visits and industry events.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
