Who We Are
Hamilton Exteriors is looking for a dependable, organized Materials & Tools Runner / Material Handler to keep our crews stocked and our jobs moving. This role is focused on ordering, picking up, tracking, and delivering materials/tools to multiple job sites every day.
If you’re someone who shows up early, stays organized, and can handle a fast-moving schedule with lots of stops, this could be a great fit.
Schedule
- Must be at the office by 6:00 AM every day
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (some days may run longer depending on deliveries and urgent needs)
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)Daily Ordering Deliveries
- Order materials every day based on lists provided by the admin team
- Deliver materials and tools from the office to various job sites
- Handle same-day/last-minute pickups from Home Depot, building supply stores, and other vendors, then deliver directly to job sites
Receive Stage Materials at the Office
- When materials are delivered to the office, you will:
- Receive shipments
- Verify quantities and condition
- Stage and load materials for delivery to job sites
Track Everything (Materials Tools)
You are the owner of all tracking and accountability for:
- Materials and tools at each job site
- Materials and tools stored at the office
- What each job site needs next, what has been delivered, and what is still pending
Communication Coordination
- Work closely with the admin team and field crews to ensure:
- The right materials/tools go to the right site
- Deliveries happen on time
- Shortages, damaged items, or missing tools are reported immediately
What You’re Responsible For (Bottom Line)
Everything related to company-owned materials and tools.
The admin team will provide detailed material lists and purchasing directions—you’re responsible for executing the orders, pickups, deliveries, and keeping inventory organized and accurate across all locations.
Requirements
- Reliable and punctual (must consistently start at 6:00 AM at the office)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable driving to multiple job sites daily (and to suppliers for pickups)
- Ability to lift/carry materials (often 50 lbs) and work on your feet
- Organized and detail-oriented (tracking tools/materials is a major part of the job)
- Comfortable using a smartphone for lists, photos, receipts, and communication
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with construction materials/tools
- Familiarity with Home Depot/building supply purchasing
- Forklift experience (not required)
