Job Summary Under the general direction of the Revenue Integrity Manager, The Coding and CDI Analyst is responsible for supporting accurate clinical documentation and compliant medical coding practices to ensure appropriate reimbursement, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. This role collaborates with providers, coding staff, and revenue cycle teams to identify documentation opportunities, provide education, and improve quality. Standards of Performance 1. Analyzes for errors, updates, and distributes charge validation reports.2. Creates the physician and nurse deficiency list and sends it to the appropriate person.3. Assist the physician or nurse in completing the deficiencies4. Maintain the information flow according to established guidelines.5. Has the ability to perform all aspects of processing all records charge validation according to department policies and procedures.6. Ensures departmental adherence to proper infection control, OSHA and safety standards, Maintains work area in a neat, clean and organized manner.7. Responsible for maintaining organizational facilities in accordance with TJC, federal and state, organizational and departmental policies and procedures.8. Performs other duties as assigned, needed, required or requested.9. Applying knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to evaluate clinical documents.10. Collecting medical information from healthcare providers and updating medical records.11. Verifying the accuracy of patient medical information and obtaining missing information.12. Monitoring diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up entries in medical records.13. Interpreting and preparing clinical reports for healthcare professionals and public health officials.14. Meeting with healthcare stakeholders to explain findings and facilitate actions.15. Ensuring that the content and storage of medical documents comply with federal laws.16.
