What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Sales Associate position at Effingham Eye Care?
Established private optometry practice seeking a friendly, energetic optical sales associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, out-going, organized, and has exceptional patient/customer service skills. A genuine love for eye wear is a must! Previous optical experience is beneficial but not required. Primary responsibilities include: Assisting patient in frame and lens selection-Taking appropriate measurements to ensure properly fitting eyewear-Placing glasses and contact lens orders-Dispensing, adjusting, verifying, and repairing eyewear. Verifying insurance benefits and scheduling appointments-Submitting insurance claims for exams and materials. The ideal candidate is personable and cheerful while maintaining a professional demeanor. Candidates should have good communication, organizational skills, and be a team player who can multitask and be flexible. High attention to detail and the ability to problem solve is a must. Compensation will be based on experience with opportunity for growth. We offer paid vacation and holidays. No weekend hours!
