What are the responsibilities and job description for the Energy Solutions Sales Specialist (W-2 Salary + Commission) position at Efficient Power & Light LLC?
About the Role
We are looking for a full-time Energy Solutions Sales Specialist to participate in our small
and large business LED retrofit lighting sales efforts. This is a W-2 salaried position designed
for a high-performer who wants to combine their technical literacy with a strategic sales career.
You find the inefficient "energy-wasters," explain the ROI of a modern LED system, and our
"Specialist" production team handles the rest.
The "EPL Way" Responsibilities
- Lead the Sales Process: Follow our proven 6-stage sales process—from initial lead
qualification to post-project satisfaction calls.
- On-Site Audits: Conduct professional energy audits of warehouses, plants, and
commercial facilities to identify retrofit opportunities.
- ROI Presentation: Translate technical findings into "Total Cost of Ownership" and
"Payback Period" presentations for CFOs and Facility Managers.
- Utility Partnership: Work with our back-office team to leverage utility rebate programs,
making energy efficiency accessible for your clients.
- 5-Star Brand Stewardship: Own the relationship. We don’t just close deals; we solve
problems. You will ensure every project results in a 5-star review.
Why Join EPL?
- Stability: Competitive base salary plus a performance-based commission structure with
no earning caps.
- Support: We handle the complex utility paperwork, material procurement, and
high-quality installation. You focus on the client.
- Leadership Development: We follow the Drucker Principles of executive
effectiveness. We don’t just hire employees; we develop future leaders.
- Standard of Excellence: Join a team that prioritizes safety, quality, and clear
communication above all else.
Qualifications
- Technical Literacy: You can walk through a facility and identify outdated T12, T8, or
HID fixtures at a glance.
- Communication: You think and say "we" rather than "I." You are accountable for your
deadlines and keep your promises to the team and the customer.
- Integrity: You value safety and follow established SOPs (Standard Operating
Procedures) to ensure the job is done right the first time.
- Local Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Mississippi utility landscape is a major
plus.
