Position Overview

The General Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, diagnose and treat oral health conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and educate patients on preventive and restorative dentistry.

We are looking for a professional who combines strong clinical skills with excellent communication, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to patient well-being. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive patient experience while supporting the clinical standards and operational goals of Dhaka Dental PC.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care and Treatment

• Perform comprehensive dental examinations, diagnose oral health conditions, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide general dentistry services, including restorative procedures, fillings, crowns, extractions, and preventive care within the dentist's training and competency.
• Review and interpret dental radiographs and other diagnostic findings.
• Educate patients about oral hygiene, preventive care, and available treatment options.
• Recognize cases requiring specialist consultation or referral and coordinate care appropriately.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely patient records.
  

Patient Experience and Communication

• Build trust and establish long-term relationships with patients.
• Explain diagnoses, treatment options, risks, benefits, and costs clearly and professionally.
• Obtain informed consent and respect patient preferences.
• Address patient concerns with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
• Recommend treatment based on clinical need, patient preferences, and accepted standards of care.
• Deliver a welcoming, respectful, and comfortable patient experience.
  

Clinical Quality and Compliance

• Follow infection control, sterilization, and patient safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with applicable dental licensing requirements and professional regulations.
• Complete clinical notes, treatment plans, and other required documentation accurately.
• Participate in continuing education and remain current with evidence-based dental practices.
• Maintain appropriate standards for equipment use, clinical procedures, and patient confidentiality.
  

Teamwork and Practice Operations

• Collaborate effectively with dental hygienists, assistants, administrative staff, and practice management.
• Contribute to an organized, respectful, and productive workplace.
• Maintain an efficient schedule without compromising patient care.
• Support appropriate treatment follow-up, patient retention, and continuity of care.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Use practice resources responsibly and contribute to the long-term success of Dhaka Dental PC.

Qualifications

• DDS degree from an appropriately accredited or recognized dental school.
• Current, unrestricted dental license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification and other required credentials.
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and treatment-planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to ethical dentistry, patient safety, and professional development.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented practice.
• Familiarity with dental practice management software and digital radiography preferred.
