Job Overview
We are seeking skilled Diesel Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the fleet and related systems in various vehicles, including box trucks, sprinter vans, and tractor-trailers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, electrical systems, and hydraulics, ensuring that all repairs are performed efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and associated components.
- Perform brake repairs and alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic systems, including cranes and other heavy machinery.
- Collaborate with service technicians to diagnose mechanical problems accurately.
- Utilize welding skills as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in diesel fleet repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices, including brake repair and alignment techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to read schematics.
- Experience working with box trucks is preferred.
- Proficiency in hydraulics and the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems effectively.
- Welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
