About the Role
As a Float Clinician, you’ll step in to provide coverage when primary clinicians are out—whether for a day, a week, or a longer leave—working with elementary, middle, and high school students. You’ll be based at a “home school” near Middletown and travel up to one hour to nearby districts as needed (with mileage reimbursement for longer trips).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Deliver clinical interventions that support emotional and academic stability.
- Engage families through programming and parent support groups.
- Coordinate referrals and collaborate with school and ESS teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold professional standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree and active clinical license (LMSW/LCSW, LPCA/LPC, or LMFTA/LMFT) in the state of service.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with children or adolescents facing behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Experience collaborating with school districts preferred.
