Production Worker

Effective Shielding Company, Inc. would like to welcome a dedicated production member to join our team and assist in our efforts to provide high-quality products to our clients.
We manufacture EMI/RFI (Electromagnetic Interference/Radio Frequency Interference) shielding gaskets which have numerous applications, including use in Commercial, Aerospace and Military industries.
Materials our crew most commonly work with include various adhesives, rubbers and knitted wire mesh configurations.
Beyond die-cutting click press operation, manual gasket assembly work and other technical machining operations occur daily in our facility. This type of work can also be available to interested, motivated employees with existing, evident or potentially compatible skill sets and a desire to be cross-trained between departments.

Our regular business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
On occasion, overtime hours are available to full-time employees once fully-trained and familiarized with production processes and standards.
Our ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, but we are open to meeting any diligent and determined candidate who believes they may be a good fit.
The bulk of production processes require our team members to be on their feet for extended periods of time.
Some production processes allow for completion while seated, though this tends to be rare.
All team members have a half an hour unpaid lunch break, as well as two additional scheduled and paid breaks throughout the workday (mid-morning and mid-afternoon).

TITLE of POSITION:
  Die Cutting Machine Operator

RESPONSIBILITIES of POSITION:

• Setting up and operating die-cutting press according to specifications and work instructions
  • This entails preparing dies, adjusting pressure, processing allocated materials through die-cutting of parts.
• Running die-cutting press efficiently while inspecting produced parts for any defects throughout production process
• Assess and repair assembled products as needed to ensure they meet required standards
• Following safety guidelines while maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to supervisors
• Meet production targets and deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS for POSTION:

• Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. (due to Government regulations placed upon our industry)
• Reliable transportation is a necessity
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Ability to stand for long periods as well as lift and move materials
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and diagrams presented in English
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

GREAT TO HAVE, but NOT REQUIRED:

• Previous experience in die-cutting press operation, assembly or a related field
  • Though having some experience with this type of work would be excellent, we can and will provide on-the-job training for this position.
