Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in providing high-quality medication management and patient care within our Residential Supportive Living Facility for Behavioral Health. Your expertise will ensure residents and patients receive safe, timely medication administration while supporting their overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with diverse needs, including those with Alzheimer's, dementia, and other mental and health related diagnosis. Duties

  • Safely administer prescribed medications to residents or patients following all regulatory guidelines and medical orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Point Click Care.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accuracy in medical records.
  • Observe and report any changes in patient condition or behavior related to medication effects or health status.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care for documentation and patient record management.
  • Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or mental health diagnosis is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of infection control practices and adherence to HIPAA standards for patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to handle medical equipment like blood pressure monitors, thermometers, and other vital sign measurement tools.
  • Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward seniors and individuals with disabilities across diverse settings including acute care environments.
