Job Description
The Physical Education Teacher supports students in developing motor skills, physical abilities, teamwork, confidence, and healthy habits through engaging activities delivered in both French and English.
Duties
- Plan and lead age appropriate physical education lessons and activities for students from Toddler through 5th grade
- Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
- Support students in developing coordination, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical skills
- Adapt activities to meet students' developmental needs and abilities
- Collaborate with teachers and staff on school projects and events
- Maintain productive communication with families when needed
- Follow school safety procedures and expectations
Qualifications
- Degree in Physical Education, Education, or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience working with children in a school setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Creativity, flexibility, and enthusiasm for working with children
- Ability to teach and communicate effectively in both French and English
