Position: Service Technician

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Position Summary
Efans Lift is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Service Technician to join our Memphis team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HELI forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, along with experience servicing a variety of forklift brands and industrial vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective repairs
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and service reports
- Ensure all maintenance complies with safety regulations and company standards
- Order and install replacement parts as needed
- Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to prioritize repair needs
- Train operators on proper equipment care and basic troubleshooting techniques
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in forklift maintenance
- Travel to customer sites when necessary (for field technician roles)
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification preferred)
- 2 years of experience in forklift or heavy equipment maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with forklift brands such as HELI, Toyota, Crown, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and mechanical repair equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills for service reporting and record-keeping
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Comfortable working in industrial environments, including varying temperatures
Compensation
- Compensation is determined by several factors, including:
- Experience with electric, propane, and diesel forklifts
- Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical/hydraulic issues
- Ownership of tools or a service truck (for mobile technicians)
- Certifications (e.g., OSHA, forklift-specific training)
- Overtime opportunities available
