International Exchange Coordinator

EF High School Exchange Year facilitates cultural exchange by connecting global high school students with welcoming U.S. host families. As a U.S. Department of State-designated organization and CSIET-certified J-1 program, EF fosters cross-cultural understanding and global citizenship. Since 1979, EF has guided over 90,000 students from nearly 40 countries through enriching exchange experiences. Committed to safety and meaningful connections, EF promotes diversity, understanding, and the creation of global families.

This is an on-site, volunteer role for an International Exchange Coordinator based in Greensburg, IN. The Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting host families and building relationships with local communities, high schools, and students. Day-to-day tasks include training and supporting families, facilitating communication between host families and students, and ensuring a safe and impactful exchange experience. Coordinators may also support with student placements and conducting research to identify potential host families or school connections.

• Strong communication skills for engaging with host families, students, and school representatives.
• Experience in training and providing guidance or ongoing support to program participants preferred.
• Ability to perform research and identify potential host families or school partnerships.
• Skills in sales and recruitment to inspire others to join the exchange program and meet hosting goals.
• Passion for cultural exchange and fostering global understanding.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and ability to manage relationships effectively.
• Previous experience as an exchange student or host family is a bonus but not required.
