Job Summary:
eEquals is seeking an experienced Residential Solar Installer to join our team specializing in residential solar installations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the solar industry and possess the necessary certifications to perform solar work in residential settings.
Responsibilities:
- Installation: Install solar PV systems including solar panels, inverters, and racking on rooftops and ground mounts.
- System Design: Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand system blueprints and layout plans.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality control measures to ensure systems are installed to company and industry standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with solar energy systems.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally, answering questions and explaining system operation.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate records of installations, services, and repairs.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members, including project managers, electricians, and apprentices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in solar installation or related fields a plus
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years construction experience required (i.e. know how to measure twice and cut once)
- Skills:
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good physical condition with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Certifications: OSHA 10 safety certification a plus.
- Licenses: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

The targeted compensation for this role is between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour, however, it may vary depending on location. Illinois compensation expectations are between $17.00 and $20.00 per hour.
