JOB OVERVIEW:
The Sweet Ride Assistant Manager supports the operations and execution of eegee’s “Sweet Ride” mobile food truck program. This role focuses on day-to-day event management, ensuring smooth setup, service, and breakdown at each activation. Working closely with the Sweet Ride Operations & Brand Manager, this position helps deliver exceptional guest experiences, maintain operational standards, and represent eegee’s with energy and professionalism at every stop.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead or assist with Sweet Ride setup, service, and breakdown at community events, festivals, and local activations.
- Ensure the vehicle, equipment, and serving area meet brand, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Operate POS systems and handle cash or electronic transactions accurately.
- Monitor inventory levels before and during events; restock products and supplies as needed.
- Maintain real-time communication with the Sweet Ride Operations & Brand Manager on event progress, staffing, and logistics.
- Provide outstanding guest service and represent eegee’s in a fun, approachable, and professional manner.
- Engage guests with product knowledge, sampling, and interactive brand moments.
- Collect guest feedback and share insights to help improve event experiences.
- Encourage photo ops, social shares, and positive engagement with the brand on-site.
- Support training and direction of event crew members and part-time staff.
- Lead by example to uphold company values, safety, and operational excellence.
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure efficiency and consistency during high-volume events.
- Assist with vehicle preparation, maintenance checks, and cleanliness before and after events.
- Ensure compliance with all food handling, health department, and safety regulations.
- Help track sales, product counts, and expenses following each event.
- Support scheduling and logistics planning to ensure successful event execution.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lead small teams and foster a positive, energetic work environment.
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in food service, events, or hospitality.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to drive the Sweet Ride vehicle to and from events (training provided).
- Obtain Food Protection Manager Certification within 90 days of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Frequent travel to events and various store locations.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in outdoor environments.
- Exposure to varying temperatures, loud environments, and food service equipment.
