Job Summary
Join our team to work at our client site as a Part-Time Help Desk Specialist, where you'll be the first point of contact for technical support and IT assistance across our organization. Hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 11am onsite at company headquarters in Merriam, Kansas.
Duties
- Provide prompt and professional technical support to end-users via phone, email, or remote assistance tools
- Troubleshoot software issues across various platforms including Microsoft Office applications, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and enterprise software
- Assist with computer management tasks such as hardware setup, software installation, updates, and configuration of devices including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Support network administration activities by diagnosing connectivity issues related to TCP/IP protocols and VPN access
- Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure components including Active Directory accounts
- Manage user accounts and permissions within Active Directory and facilitate password resets or account unlocks as needed.
- Document incidents and resolutions accurately in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira to ensure clear communication and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of Microsoft Server, Windows 10/11 products
- Experience with Cloud Administration, preferably Azure
- Experience helping clients with PC connectivity - ethernet, TCP/IP, VPN, and Wi-Fi
- Experience with End User and Application Support
- Strong Active Directory understanding and ability to apply this knowledge in a multi-domain and multi-forest environment.
