Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates,
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care by implementing tailored memory care strategies and maintaining a safe environment.
- Assist healthcare professionals with clinical procedures including catheter care, and aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote understanding of care plans and foster a caring atmosphere.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state regulations.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as home care settings..
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR certification.
- Prior experience with patient transfer methods, heavy lifting safety practices, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate caregiving for geriatric patients
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and ensure optimal patient service.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
