Job Summary
Edwards Development and Management Solutions is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in general maintenance, repairs, preventative upkeep, and contractor scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repairs.
- Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct inspections and identify areas in need of repairs or updates.
- Assist with unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
- Schedule and coordinate work with external contractors as needed for larger or specialized tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Collaborate with the property management team to address resident needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property maintenance, general handyman work, or a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Strong scheduling and coordination skills for managing contractor services.
- Ability to operate standard maintenance tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
