Position Summary
The Water Well Service Helper/Laborer assists lead technicians with the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of residential water well systems. This position involves physical outdoor work, equipment handling, and supporting daily field operations while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist technicians with pulling and installing pumps, motors, pipe, and well components
- Load, unload, clean, and organize tools, materials, and equipment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic construction equipment safely
- Dig trenches and perform general labor tasks at job sites
- Help maintain service trucks, rigs, and equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting water well and pump system issues
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Maintain clean and professional job sites
- Communicate respectfully with customers and team members
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Edward Powell Pump and Well Drilling is a water and geothermal well drilling company, that also services water wells and water conditioning. It was started in 1979 by Edward Powell out of his house in Aston. His Sons and Son-in-law took over in 1997 and grew the company in all areas of water well and geothermal drilling and service. In January 2023 the 3rd generation has taken the lead.
