Overview:
The Branch Measures function within Finance's Compensation Governance and Execution department is responsible for the strategy, operations, and data analytics for our Financial Advisor performance measures with commitment to data integrity and operational excellence. This department ensures Edward Jones Financial Advisors are measured fairly and accurately through effective, transparent, and easily understood measures designed to track the performance of a Financial Advisor's practice.
The Strategy Analyst III will partner closely with product teams and business areas across the firm to move branch measures into execution, helping to design and enhance business processes with simplicity and transparency while creating capacity for our business areas.
What You'll Do:
The Branch Measures function within Finance's Compensation Governance and Execution department is responsible for the strategy, operations, and data analytics for our Financial Advisor performance measures with commitment to data integrity and operational excellence. This department ensures Edward Jones Financial Advisors are measured fairly and accurately through effective, transparent, and easily understood measures designed to track the performance of a Financial Advisor's practice.
The Strategy Analyst III will partner closely with product teams and business areas across the firm to move branch measures into execution, helping to design and enhance business processes with simplicity and transparency while creating capacity for our business areas.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with functional leaders to conceptualize and recommend branch measure solutions for enabling firm policies and strategies.
- Partner with product teams and business areas in the design, development, and implementation of branch measure solutions
- Frequent verbal & written presentation of analysis, as well as presentation of firm strategic information and analytical insights to firm leaders
- Build strong firm-wide awareness and acumen of the impact of firm strategies and business activities on branch measures programs through education and ongoing projects
- Participate in and frequently lead cross-functional teams responsible for implementing projects in support of divisional or firm-wide business objectives
- Champion the innovation and evolution of existing processes, controls, and technology to meet the changing needs and increasing complexity of the organization
- Proactively identify opportunities with moderate to broad impact and visibility, propose solutions to relevant parties and drive implementation of solutions
- Develop and manage business relationships with leaders and associates across the organization
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in a business discipline such as accounting, finance, economics, data science or analytics (or relevant work experience).
- 7 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple tasks/projects and independently adjust to changing priorities
- Financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required including working ability to utilize pivot tables and advanced formulas
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Working understanding of agile product management
- A proficiency in using Business Intelligence and data extractions tools such as SQL or Power Query
- Experience with or knowledge of branch measures business processes
- MBA or Master's degree in relevant field preferred
- Conduct analysis that facilitates the transformation of complex data/information into actionable insights. Includes advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling responsibility
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
