The Practice Desktop empowers financial advisors and their client service team with a unified, intuitive platform that integrates tools, data, and AI-driven insights, creating capacity for them to work smarter, deepen client relationships, drive measurable growth, and deliver more value.
The Senior Practice Management Strategist leads the evolution of practice health, diagnostic, assessment, and business planning strategies, along with the tools that enable them. This role is responsible for shaping and integrating cross-firm capabilities that support design, delivery, learning, change management, and adoption. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders and branch teams, the Senior Strategist designs end-to-end processes, experiences, and solutions that drive growth and productivity. This includes advancing knowledge-powered initiatives, scaling diagnostic capabilities, enhancing business planning solutions, and delivering innovative practice health experiences. As a senior strategist operating across both digital and non-digital capabilities, this role plays a critical part in defining forward-looking strategies and enabling execution. The Senior Strategist leads highly complex, firm-level initiatives while also informally mentoring and guiding others to drive alignment and impact.

What You’ll Do:
- Defines and evolves the strategy and roadmap for Practice Desktop software, systems, and tools, spanning proprietary Edward Jones solutions and industry-leading platforms, that equip branch teams with the insights and capabilities to assess practice health, make data-driven decisions, and effectively manage and grow their business, including Salesforce and similar platforms
- Exhibits deep systems thinking by understanding measures/insights/workflows across systems, recognizing the interconnections and interdependencies within those systems to provide proactive thought leadership and form perspectives on ways to drive for solutions that maximize branch experiences
- Displays strong analytical capabilities to infer, interpret, and apply data to build strategy and recommendations. Partners with key stakeholders to enhance and build new Practice Diagnostic insights and features that enable branch teams to turn insights into action
- Owns and drives prioritized enterprise epics from concept through delivery, defining success metrics and outcomes to ensure solutions deliver tangible impact and business value
- Develop strategic frameworks and process maps to visualize connected experiences, driving alignment and prioritization while balancing assumptions and trade-offs
- Partners with branch teams and aligns with internal cross-functional teams to incorporate feedback and define an optimal end-to-end experience across both digital and non-digital solutions in support of prioritized business outcomes
- Demonstrates subject matter expertise (SME) in Practice Desktop solutions and capabilities, connecting across Practice Management and the firm to support branch teams with change, adoption, upskilling, and support
- Delivers creative solutions to complex challenges that may be undefined, while navigating ambiguity and operating autonomously to make progress
Position Requirements:
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
- Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum Experience: 6 years in technology, analytical, business strategy, or product management roles
- Series 7 and 66 required within 12 months of hire
- Experience developing and managing strategic roadmaps, prioritized backlogs, and detailed project plans to drive successful delivery and alignment
- Communicates complex ideas clearly and influences stakeholders at all levels through presentations, documentation, and executive-ready materials, enabling progress and decision-making
- Leads cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed environment, aligning stakeholders and driving decisions to achieve defined business outcomes
- Demonstrates strong systems and strategic thinking with an analytical mindset, able to identify interdependencies and translate insights into clear, actionable strategies
