Edward Jones is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to help lead enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation. As part of the Enterprise Architecture organization, this role partners with business, product, engineering, and delivery teams to define architecture standards, technology roadmaps, and target-state solutions that support long-term business objectives.
The team drives technology consistency, modernization, governance, and strategic alignment across the enterprise while enabling scalable, secure, and client-focused solutions.

• Evaluate solution architectures and technology tradeoffs for major initiatives.

• Lead architecture reviews, design governance, and decision-making forums.
• Identify enterprise technology risks, dependencies, and modernization opportunities.
• Translate business objectives into technology strategies and actionable architecture guidance.
• Drive adoption of architecture best practices across portfolios and platforms.

What Experience You'll Need
- 10 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, or related technology leadership roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience developing enterprise technology strategies, architecture standards, and multi-year roadmaps.
- Proven ability to align business objectives with technology investments and execution plans.
- Deep knowledge of Enterprise, Application, Solution, Technical, Data, and Security Architecture.
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of architecture governance, technology risk management, and enterprise planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile, Product Management, and portfolio-based delivery environments.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Advanced degree and TOGAF (or equivalent) certification.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
- Experience with business capability modeling, portfolio planning, and operating model design.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, cybersecurity, enterprise integration, and modern digital architectures.
- Experience developing executive-level technology strategies, business cases, and transformation roadmaps.
