What You'll Do:
Field Learning is responsible for building new capabilities critical to our firm's strategy at speed and scale, ensuring our 50,000 home-office associates and branch team members are reskilled and upskilled to deliver on our commitment to serving more clients, more completely through a purpose-driven, holistic financial experience.
The Learning Experience Designer I is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of multi-modal high-performance learning experiences that build learner capabilities, drive behavior change, and result in needed performance results. In this role, you will enable a culture of continuous learning through human-centered learning and performance design.
- Facilitate delivery of learning experiences, including in-person and virtual sessions, workshops, and peer-led discussions.
- Partner with learning and development colleagues, end-users, stakeholders, and leaders to design, develop, deliver, and curate impactful learning and development solutions that achieve business outcomes.
- Leverage expertise in Practice Management and branch team dynamics to design learning experiences that reflect Proven Practices and drive measurable performance improvement.
- Build learner capabilities and drive behavioral change using a learner-centered creative design process that involves conducting learner research, co-creating with end-users, prototyping learning experiences that achieve performance outcomes, and ensuring first-time quality at speed and scale.
- Design and develop engaging, multi-modal learning experiences that lead to learner adoption through a focus on moments that matter applications and activities that enable performance-based outcomes. This includes continuously evolving learning experiences through the integration of emerging technologies, including AI.
- Leverage learning insights and measurement reports to monitor, maintain, and optimize learning experiences.
- Serve as a member of dynamic, autonomous, matrixed teams responsible for the end-to-end implementation of projects in a fast-paced, challenging environment with multiple, competing priorities.
- Lead design, development, and validation sessions to create the conditions for iterative learner-centered design, resulting in quality at scale.
- Stay current on research and practices in Learning & Development, Practice Management, field/practice needs, and related fields, applying appropriate applications/processes to optimize learning experiences.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Education, Organizational Psychology, Human Capital Management, or related field
- Proficient understanding of the Finance Services Industry; SIE, Series 7, Series 66 licensing required within 1 year of attaining role.
- 3 years of proven experience designing, developing, and curating learning and performance experiences that achieve business objectives, including:
- Advanced facilitation skills, including the ability to present to executive leaders; the ability to adapt
- Learning experiences to situational needs; and the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences with a variety of backgrounds
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to moderate virtual communication channels
- Proven ability to collaborate with a wide variety of colleagues, employing diplomacy to achieve outcomes
- Applied understanding of Systems Thinking, Root Cause Analysis, and Problem-Solving Methodologies to recommend learning solutions
**Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
