What You'll Do:
As an Engineer IV, you will support efforts related to the administration and management of storage platforms which will include but is not limited to: installation of capacity, updating storage array code, provisioning, and data protection software. You will lead troubleshooting efforts to address storage and data protection issues. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of the Firm's Digital Workspace Strategy and the implementation of storage (both on premise and cloud) solutions which will ultimately lead to improved associate productivity and satisfaction.
Here are a few of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:
As an Engineer IV, you will support efforts related to the administration and management of storage platforms which will include but is not limited to: installation of capacity, updating storage array code, provisioning, and data protection software. You will lead troubleshooting efforts to address storage and data protection issues. You will play a crucial role in the delivery of the Firm's Digital Workspace Strategy and the implementation of storage (both on premise and cloud) solutions which will ultimately lead to improved associate productivity and satisfaction.
Here are a few of the key responsibilities you will be a part of:
- Independently design, assemble, configure, install, maintain, and tune complex infrastructure components associated to the specific digital department.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture and other teams to develop appropriate storage platforms for next generation infrastructure needs.
- Plan and execute initiatives for improving operational efficiencies through automation. This will include collaboration with other EDJ teams and platform vendors.
- Assist with technical development and mentoring of team members.
- Debug, recommend and correct complex internal and external infrastructure problems
- Conduct peer walkthroughs to assure quality of designs and implementations.
- Provide all levels of support for assigned systems, including rotating assignment to provide 24x7 on-call coverage and monitoring system logs and messages
What Experience You'll Need:

**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
- 7 years of experience directly related to storage technology, including:
- Experience with NetApp OnTap and Pure Flash Array solutions.
- Experience with switch technology especially Cisco SAN and Broadcom NAS switches preferred.
- Data Protection product experience such as Veeam or Rubrik.
- Knowledge of WORM storage technology especially Dell Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS).
- Experience with Azure cloud storage including block, NAS and S3 protocols.
- Ability to script using PowerShell and/or Python for automation processes.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
