Team Overview:
The Planning & Performance Team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Analyst. We are responsible for the Division's continuous planning & performance processes, ensuring clear and actionable processes and monitoring exists to support Firm Priorities and run the core of Operations with excellence.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will partner with relevant stakeholders across the TRAP Capability, broader Operations and other areas across the Firm.

As an Analyst, you'll work through issues that typically arise daily with varying degrees of complexity. You'll Identify what data is needed, then analyze and interpret the results for business owners & leaders in a clear concise manner. The Analyst will be asked to assist with the implementation of agreed upon solutions as well as ensure proper understanding within affected business area, so the ability to collaborate well with associates and leadership within the department (and potentially firm leadership and/or external vendors) is necessary.

Here are a few of the Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop dashboards, reports, visualizations in support of firm initiatives and programs. Document business requirements and create data requirements.
- Analysis that facilitates the transformation of raw and/or summarized data into information and insights.
- Document, monitor, and proactively recommend improvement to processes and controls related to area responsibilities; quantify business and financial impact for leaders.
- Develop and manage business relationships and partnerships with targeted business owners and financial associates.
- Inform and educate other business areas as to the impact of decision; deliver original insights on opportunities for enhancing Division performance.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to divisional reporting and key measures
- Assist with the implementation of projects requiring cross-functional teams to achieve the division and firm's overall business objectives. Independently organize, plan & prioritize individual effort needed to ensure overall success.
- Educate Team members & business owners across the firm on analytical concepts and best practices
- Takes constructive action with direction from others while leader reviews non-routine outputs
- Serve and a technical and functional business intelligence subject matter expert
- Document, monitor, and improve processes and controls
What Experience You'll Need:
Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
- Bachelor's degree with emphasis in finance, business, accounting, data science, math or analytics and/or relevant work experience
- Proficiency using Power BI/visualization software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required including working ability to utilize pivot tables, VBA, advanced charting, advanced formulas
- Ability to execute pre-existing project plans and possesses basic project management skills
- Ability to manipulate large data sets with SQL, BI tools
