Position: Staff Nurse (RN), Orthopaedic Post-Surgical Unit, 3pm-11:30pm shift Evenings
Hours: 32 hours/week, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Evenings
Location: Skokie Hospital Orthopaedic & Spine Institute Post-Surgical (5 East/West)
Description:
5 East/West is a 39 bed unit specializing in post-surgical care with extensive physical and occupational therapy following orthopaedic surgery. The unit operates 24-hours a day, 365 days out of the year catering to 18 years through geriatric patient population.
What you will do:
· Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on a specific unit
· Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
· Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
· Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
· Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
What you will need:
· License: Current RN licensure in the state of Illinois
· Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required
· Certification: Current BLS/CPR for the Healthcare Professional required
· Experience: New Graduates welcome, previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing, and/or completion of Periop clinical rotation.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $34.75 - $45.00 per hour
