Job Summary: Responsible for directing unit activities and personnel on assigned shift in order to ensure high quality patient care, teamwork, and coordination of care. Determines work priorities, prepares daily work assignments, approves overtime and monitors compliance for regulatory requirements. Serves as resource person for unit personnel in resolving operation and patient care problems, acts as physician liaison, and role model for staff.
Hours: Full-time (1.0 FTE) Monday through Friday 2- 12 hours shifts and 2 - 8 hours hour shifts
Required:
- Illinois Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
- Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (BLS Provider or BLS Instructor)
- Baccalaureate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Minimum 2 yrs NICU LEVEL III experience
Preferred:
- Previous charge nurse experience
- Certification in Specialty
