What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraprofessional position at EDUPRIZE SCHOOLS?
Positions: Special Education Support Paraprofessional- Academic and Behavioral
Hours: 28 to 35hrs. per week M-F
Start Date: ASAP
Candidates must meet all employment requirements prior to employment:
1. Associate’s (or higher) degree OR have a passing score on the ParaPro skills assessment
2. IVP Fingerprint clearance card*Requirements need to be obtained for an interview to be scheduled
Paraprofessional duties include assisting teachers in the classroom with individual students or small groups of students to provide educational and behavioral interventions based on the direction of supervising special education teachers and staff. Duties may also include lunch/recess duty, some clerical duties, and monitoring playground activities dependent on the needs of the students being serviced. Paraprofessionals are also expected to follow their given schedule with consistency, work collaboratively with other school personnel and maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information, including following all rules, policies, and procedures of EDUPRIZE SCHOOLS.
