Requirements
A lead teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of children. The primary function of lead teachers is to work with parents, administrators and other teachers to improve students' experience and meet teaching objectives. Additionally, lead teachers plan, evaluate and improve the physical environment of the classroom to create opportunities that meet the changing needs of the developing child.

We are looking for a Lead Teacher who have an educational background, experience teaching infants, toddlers and/or preschoolers. The focus of our curriculum is to follow the child's interest and we want a teacher that truly enjoys the fun of teaching. Due to enrollment we are a growing teaching team! We are looking for work oriented people who enjoy working with children! Able to make observations, developing a lesson plan, and reliable in team work. We offer $26.00 - $29.00 per hour, law benefits, Health Insurance, Two weeks of vacations every year. If you are energetic, enthusiastic, and compassionate, we would like to talk to you.

- Portable Background Check clearance.
- Negative TB test (Manual Method).
- HIV/Aids Training.
- Blood Borne Pathogens Training.
- CPR/First Aid Training (Adult, Infant and Child).
- Food Worker card training.
- Safe Sleep training.
- Mandated Reporter-Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse.
- Able to follow written and verbal direction.
- Physically able to perform activities required by the position.
- Must like working with children.
- Skilled in team approach.
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulates their development.
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times.
- Assist children with activities of daily life (e.g., diapering/restroom use, feeding, dressing).
- Approach parents daily and speak with them about their child(ren).
- Help facilitate daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for preschoolers.
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service.
- Assist the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher in implementing curriculum and planning daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children.
- Attend and engage in occasional parent participation events and other events that may be on nights and/or weekends.
- Assist with the completion of daily sheets and the daily activities pertaining to eating, sleeping, and diaper changing.
- Communicate with the Lead Teacher and Assistant Teacher regarding all aspects of the children’s care as well as classroom management.
- Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the organization at all times.

- Must be at least 22 years old to apply.
- Full Time position.
- At least 2 years of early childhood education experience.
- Availability to travel occasionally within and outside the country for training or professional development.
- Fluent English.
- CDA or AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher with a minimum of 2 years of early childhood education experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Effectively plan, organize and implement educational activities.
- Demonstrable record of making decisions on behalf of children with their well-being the top priority.

- Ensure that each family receives an opportunity to build strong relationships with teaching staff.
- Provide a classroom environment that encourages parent participation.
- Plan periodical parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress, needs and interests.
- Collaborate with children's families to ensure a smooth transition from home to Child Care setting.
- Create weekly plans and implement an age-appropriate curriculum that nurtures and stimulates all domains of each child's development in their care.
- Provide a developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children's learning and growth.
- Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required.
