Reports to: President, EduConnect USA & Experience Abroad
EduConnect USA and Experience Abroad are rapidly growing organizations specializing in global talent mobility, international education pathways, and cultural exchange programs. EduConnect USA is a global education and career-mobility organization that connects international students with affordable U.S. undergraduate and graduate programs and paid practical training opportunities, enabling international students to study, work, and access long-term professional opportunities in the United States. Experience Abroad LLC is a cultural exchange and career-development organization—and the official exclusive partner of InterGlobal, a designated J-1 sponsor—providing internship and trainee programs that connect international talent with U.S. companies for meaningful professional and cross-cultural experiences. Position Overview
The Business Development Manager drives strategic growth for EduConnect USA and Experience Abroad by building and expanding partnerships with employers, language schools, universities, and international student communities.
This role centers on building strong partnerships with companies and promotes alternative talent pathways for employers by showcasing how F-1 Work & Study programs can help them recruit new international talent, retain their current J-1 interns and trainees, and access long-term workforce solutions that serve as a practical alternative to the H-1B sponsorship process.
The position also develops recruitment channels for ESL students, current F-1/J-1 holders, and B1/B2 visitors seeking academic or Work & Study programs.
Acting as a key ambassador for both organizations, the manager cultivates networks across international communities, industry events and employer associations to increase student mobility, employer engagement, and program enrollment.
The Business Development Manager will launch and lead our new Miami office while driving nationwide business development initiatives for both EduConnect USA and Experience Abroad.
This role centers on building strong partnerships with companies that hire or could benefit from hiring J-1 Interns and Trainees, as well as employers interested in long-term international talent pathways.
One of the goals is also to identify companies interested in retaining current J1 candidates in the U.S. through our Work and Study program.
The position will also focus on identifying current J-1 and F-1 (including ESL) students who may be interested in transitioning into our Work and Study program offerings.
This individual will serve as a highly visible representative of both organizations across industry events, associations, and recruitment activities—domestic and international.
