Local Coordinator for International Student Exchange

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Student Exchange Local Coordinator to join our team for students in Dexter, Michigan. There may also be students in surrounding areas that you will also supervise. This role is essential in facilitating and managing student exchange programs that promote cultural understanding and educational growth. The ideal candidate will have experience in, recruiting, be a self-starter with a can-do attitude. You will work closely with students, host families, and educational institutions to ensure a successful exchange experience. Host families receive a monthly stipend to host an exchange student.

Duties

• Coordinate all aspects of student exchange programs, including recruitment of students and host families.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for students and families throughout the exchange process, providing support and guidance.
• Ability and willingness to post on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Nextdoor) in your area to promote this wonderful opportunity for attracting potential host families.
• Monitor the well-being of students during their exchange period, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise. This includes monthly contact with both the student and the host family, and filing a monthly contact report.
• Collaborate with schools and community organizations to promote the program and enhance student engagement.
• Maintain accurate records of student placements, communications, and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting is essential, or at least the willingness to do it.
• Self-starter and goal motivated individuals are essential.
• Background in teaching or school experience desirable.
• Mission-driven individuals are essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, and maintain regular contact with your regional manager.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to problem-solve
• Enjoys traveling to domestic and international destinations (this is not a requirement, but an incentive for coordinators)

You will be paid approximately $1000-1300 per student per school year, plus earn the ability to travel to our international conference, as well as other bonuses offered throughout the year. (This year our trip is in Seville, Spain).
