General Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Director, the School-Based Prevention Project Coordinator coordinates special projects related to capacity building for the Student Assistance Program.
Assignment:Full Time, 240 days a year. This position may provide temporary coverage and support for prevention program staff during planned or unplanned absences to ensure continuity of services, program implementation, and student support.
Regular attendance required: This role relies on regular and reliable attendance to ensure consistency for our students and help support a positive, productive learning environment.

Essential Functions/Other Functions
Essential Functions:
Serve as a staff member for the Student Assistance Program (SAP) to plan, implement, coordinate, and deliver prevention training for staff within the ESD 112 region.
Plan and coordinate identified services and training to ensure alignment with the approved action plan and budget.
Assist with the development and management of project budgets in coordination with program leadership and the fiscal agent.
Develop, update, and maintain all SAP training materials, including guidance documents and forms; organize curriculum and program materials and post on program webpages and electronic file systems.
Coordinate services, implement activities, and track all training delivered in partnership with program leadership and staff.
Collaborate with leadership and Student Assistance Professionals (SAPs) to assess professional development needs and assist the manager to develop training plans for all Student Assistance Professionals.
Develop program outreach efforts including presentations, newsletters, program awareness flyers, school-based education, awareness events, and media campaigns.

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Education, Communications, Social Sciences, or closely related field OR a High School Diploma or GED and four years of experience in Youth Substance Use Prevention.
Two years of experience of working with school-based prevention services or programs.
Knowledge of substance abuse prevention and prevention science, community development and mobilization, youth development principles, schools systems, and certification requirements related to the Washington State Certified Prevention Professional credential.
Ability to create and sustain effective relationships with community partners, foster and share leadership among individuals in the community, and build bridges among diverse community members and organizations.
Ability to manage electronic records, shared files, and online tools to support program coordinator, training delivery, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree.
Excellent oral and written communication; public speaking and training; group and meeting facilitation; word processor, spreadsheet, and internet skills; ability to learn new concepts quickly; and self-motivated with ability to work independently.

Working Conditions:
Travel required within ESD 112 Region.
Extended or flexible hours as necessary.
Employment Requirements:
Successful completion of a criminal history and fingerprint check through the Washington State Patrol and FBI.
Certified Prevention Professional, or ability to obtain credential within 12 months of hire.
