Food Service Worker

Job Description:

ECI Management Group is looking for a dependable and hardworking Prep Cook to join our food service team. This position is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go items, and other breakfast and lunch menu items in a fast-paced college café environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items for daily breakfast and lunch service.

• Wash, cut, and portion vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients.

• Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, and grab-and-go items.

• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to maintain food quality and control food costs.

• Label, date, and properly store all food products.

• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.

• Stock and organize prep stations, coolers, and storage areas.

• Monitor food temperatures and follow food safety guidelines.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area.

• Assist cooks and other kitchen staff during busy meal periods.

• Help receive and put away food deliveries.

• Follow all company policies and health department regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous food preparation or kitchen experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation.

• Ability to use kitchen knives and food preparation equipment safely.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be dependable, punctual, and a team player.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Must be able to follow recipes and instructions.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, breakfast and lunch shifts.
