Duties
- Support the planning and execution of park events, activities, and educational programs to enhance visitor engagement
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and guiding visitors around the park
- Assist with conflict management by calmly resolving disputes or concerns from visitors, ensuring a positive atmosphere
- Conduct safety checks, including manual handling of equipment and heavy lifting when setting up event spaces or maintaining park facilities
- Administer basic first aid or CPR in emergency situations to ensure visitor safety and well-being
- Manage cash handling and processing transactions at event venues using POS systems for ticket sales or concessions
- Promote safety protocol adherence among visitors and fellow volunteers to prevent accidents during outdoor activities
Requirements
- Previous experience in events management or hospitality is preferred to coordinate activities effectively
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and confidently in public speaking scenarios
- Experience working with children is highly desirable for leading educational programs or family-friendly events
- Knowledge of outdoor work environments, including manual handling, heavy lifting, and safety procedures
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; lifeguard experience is a plus for water-related activities
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and processing transactions accurately
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing conflicts or emergency situations effectively
