SUMMARY OF POSITION FUNCTION: |
Manages monitors and delivers the Introduction to Center Life Program, activities, and related events. |
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: |
- Manages the Introduction to Center Life Program, including curriculum review and program compliance.
- Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff.
- Establishes the Academic program mission and strategic plan, objectives, goals and evaluates program effectiveness.
- Monitors classrooms, dormitory meetings, routine and crises (for at-risk students) counseling sessions, and recreational activities.
- Ensures smooth transition of students from the Career Preparation Period (CPP) to the Career Development Period (CDP).
- Monitors and administers a departmental budget and works within budgetary constraints
- Plans, organizes and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to insure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: |
- High level of written and verbal communication skills, able to write creatively.
- Ability to encourage teamwork and solicit ideas of teachers,
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and advanced knowledge in implementing plans to respond to CPP related issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to effectively relate to students
- Proficient in the use of computer software (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: |
- Bachelor’s Degree in social or human services, education, counseling or related field. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.

EXPERIENCE: |
- Two years of related experience with youth preferred. One-year experience in a supervisory capacity.

OTHER: |
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
