Reports To: Coordinator III, TCMPC Learning and Development

Salary: This is a full-time twelve (12) month position at 232 days with an annual minimum salary of $71,800.00. This is a grant-funded position with an initial end date of October 31, 2025. This grant is anticipated to be renewed with an end date of April 30, 2028.

Job Summary (Primary Purpose):
Work independently under the supervision of the TCMPC Learning and Development Coordinator III, to produce freely available implementation support materials for Bluebonnet Learning, Edition 1 that can be used by teachers, coaches, and campus leaders, both independently and as a part of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Additional work will include providing additional capacity for the development and review of the Bluebonnet Learning K-5 Integrated instructional materials. Daily work location will be at the Education Service Center nearest to you.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):

Education/Certificates
  • Bachelor's degree in education and/or content specific field
  • Bilingual/Dual Language Certification
Experience:
  • 3 years in a leadership role (grade-level, department, campus, district, etc.)
  • 3 years proven track record of student achievement in K-8 instructional setting
  • 3 years successfully supporting/working with Emergent Bilingual students and students with disabilities
Knowledge:
  • Thorough content specific knowledge and expertise
  • Thorough knowledge of dual language programming and instructional strategies for biliteracy/bilingualism in Texas
Skills:
  • Ability to read, analyze, understand, internalize and apply rubrics to ensure high quality deliverables creation, evaluation and revision
  • Proficient reading, writing, speaking in Spanish and in English
  • Excellent verbal, writing and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Education/Certificates):

Education/Certificates:
  • Master's degree in administration, curriculum, instruction, and assessment or content specific field
Experience:
  • Strong background in curriculum writing/development
  • Experience as an Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) quality reviewer
Knowledge:
  • Thorough knowledge of Covid Emergency Release (CER) instructional materials and Bluebonnet Learning, Edition 1 instructional materials
  • Working knowledge of general cognitive science as well as content-specific cognitive science (i.e. Research-Based Instructional Strategies)
  • Working knowledge of generative AI applications
  • Ability to determine suitability of instructional materials
Major Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a representative of the Center, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration and discretion in all interactions with other members of the educational community and with the public.
  • Engage in design, prototyping, production, distribution, evaluation, and continuous improvement of high-quality implementation support materials for Bluebonnet Learning, Edition 1 instructional materials, including, but not limited to podcast scripts, unit podcasts, unit snapshots, content support videos, and PLC videos
  • Embed implementation support materials to appropriate online platforms
  • Develop and review instructional materials for Bluebonnet Learning K-5 Integrated
  • Clearly communicate progress regarding development efforts including timelines, areas of concern, and potential solutions to supervisor
  • Manage time, duties, and responsibilities for multiple projects simultaneously and reliably meet all deadlines with little oversight
  • Collaborate professionally across multiple teams and projects
  • Communicate consistently and clearly with various team members regarding multiple projects and timelines
  • Collaborate with supervisor and team regarding development and constructive feedback
  • Revise and edit materials with a strong attention to detail, according to feedback, and prior to deadlines
  • Work productively in a virtual environment with reliance on video conferencing, email and phone as primary forms of communication
  • Attend, as necessary, all meetings/trainings which may be delivered in-person, online/video, and/or by phone
  • Perform other duties as assigned
