Gulf Coast College is seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team. Our janitorial staff help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
Clean windows, doors, and frequently touched surfaces.
Follow cleaning schedules and safely use and store cleaning products and equipment.
Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and supply shortages.
Assist with other routine cleaning and campus upkeep as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and complete assigned tasks.
- Professional and respectful conduct when interacting with students and employees
- Ability to perform essential cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving cleaning supplies and equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation
Available Schedules
Full-time and part-time positions are available for day and evening shifts. Weekends may be required. Please indicate your preferred schedule and availability when applying.
