What are the responsibilities and job description for the English Tutor position at Education Enrichment Center?
We are seeking an experienced English tutor to work with middle and high school students in a structured, in-person setting.
Responsibilities:
- Teach English Language Arts (reading, writing, analysis)
- Support creative and academic writing
- Assist with AP English (preferred)
- Work with students in 1:1 and small group sessions
- Help students improve standardised test scores.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, History, Education, or a related field, with a strong background in academic writing
- 3 years of English teaching or tutoring experience
- Strong high school English background
- AP experience preferred
- Master’s degree and/or classroom teaching experience are a plus
- The capability to teach history would be a plus
- Retired teachers welcome
Schedule:
- Part-time: 10–20 hours/week
- When the school is in session, Weekdays: 4:30–8:30 PM | Saturdays: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
- During school summer breaks: Weekdays: 9:00 - 5:00 PM. Weekends are optional
- Flexible scheduling

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
