Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join our NAEYC and Texas Rising Star accredited early childhood education center. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for working with infants/young toddlers (6 weeks - 17 months) and a commitment to providing high-quality, developmentally appropriate care in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, compassionate care for infants, ensuring their safety, health, and well-being.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote infants' cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where each child feels safe and valued.
- Work collaboratively with co-teachers and other staff to maintain a high standard of care and educational quality.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development, daily activities, and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all NAEYC and Texas Rising Star standards and regulations, as well as Texas' Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Must meet Texas state licensing requirements for a childcare teacher.
- Experience working with infants in a childcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of infant development and experience with lesson planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Passion for early childhood education and commitment to providing high-quality care.
