What We Are Really Looking For
Experience is important, but personality, dependability, and work ethic matter just as much.
We want people who:
- Genuinely enjoy working with children
- Show up consistently and on time

- Can take initiative without needing constant direction
- Communicate professionally with coworkers and families
- Are comfortable working in a busy child care environment
- Can maintain appropriate supervision, routines, and classroom expectations
- Are willing to learn and grow
- Understand that child care requires both having fun with children and doing the less glamorous parts of the job
Our programs are inclusive, and our staff work with children with a wide range of personalities, developmental levels, learning styles, abilities, and support needs. Candidates should be comfortable meeting children where they are and helping create an environment where every child can participate and belong.
Responsibilities May Include
Depending on the classroom and position:
- Supervising children and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment
- Engaging children in play, learning activities, and daily routines
- Planning or assisting with age-appropriate activities
- Supporting meals, snacks, transitions, indoor and outdoor play, and rest periods
- Encouraging independence, social skills, positive behavior, and kindness
- Following classroom schedules and center procedures
- Maintaining clean, organized, and prepared classroom spaces
- Working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other staff
- Following Texas Child Care Minimum Standards and Education Connection policies
Requirements
Candidates must:

- Be dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
A high school diploma or equivalent and previous experience working with children are preferred.
Experience in child care, early childhood education, PreK, school-age programs, special education, ABA, or other child-focused settings is a plus — but we are also willing to consider the right person who has a great attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
