Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the [add program name] program. This is a full-time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean/Director of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and company policies and procedures. This position requires some evening and Saturday hours.
The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program resulting in a Certificate of Completion or Diploma; an associate degree is required, preferably in Medical Assisting but Allied Health or a similar field will be acceptable to meet the requirement
- A bachelor degree in Allied Health or a similar field is highly desired
- Certifications:
- CCMA and/or
- CMA and/or
- RMA
- Expertise in interpersonal and verbal presentation/written communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective direction and leadership, and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
- Prior postsecondary-related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
