Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic leader to manage the HVACR program. This is a full time, professional position reporting directly to the Dean of Education. As the leader of the program, the Program Director is responsible for managing the department using sound business principles and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, accreditation and company policies and procedures. This position requires one evening a week and occasionally a Saturday event.
The Program Director teaches in his/her assigned discipline, works with faculty to promote continuous improvement of the quality of instruction within the assigned program(s), is the lead administrator for the department, and, as such, is responsible for faculty training and development, coordinating and administering the academic program(s) and student outcomes and activities within the department. This position requires a minimum of 5 years in the HVACR industry. Prior teaching experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Documented expertise in academic subject area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas, transcripts, certifications and/or résumés.
- Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills.
- Ability to provide effective direction and leadership and work effectively and collaboratively with others.
- Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.
- Prior postsecondary related teaching experience of at least 2 years.
- [Associate/Bachelor's/Master's degree] in the discipline as required by accrediting and licensing agency standards.
- Appropriate licenses and/or certifications depending upon discipline as per accreditation and state licensing standards.
