Job Overview
The Chief Legal Counsel (CLO) will serve as a core executive leader responsible for overseeing Educa Finance BR’s global legal strategy, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management functions. Key Responsibilities

Advise the CEO, executive leadership, and Board on legal, regulatory, and governance matters impacting business strategy and growth.
Establish legal frameworks that enable innovation while safeguarding the company’s intellectual property, assets, and reputation.
Oversee all legal operations, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, contracts, litigation, and external counsel management.
Strategic Planning & Business Enablement
Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives, market entry, partnerships, and product development from a legal and regulatory perspective.
Translate business strategy into actionable legal structures, policies, and governance models.
Lead legal transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and risk management across the organization.

Regulatory, Compliance & Risk Management
Design and maintain comprehensive compliance frameworks covering financial regulations, digital asset laws, AML/KYC, data protection, and technology governance.
Collaborate closely with Compliance, Risk, Security, and Technology teams to ensure consistent regulatory alignment across all operations.
Oversee regulatory engagement with authorities, auditors, and supervisory bodies in multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Deep knowledge of blockchain technology, digital assets, financial regulation, and data protection frameworks.
Strong expertise in corporate law, compliance, risk management, and regulatory engagement.
Exceptional judgment, communication, and executive-level advisory skills.
Law degree required; advanced legal or business qualifications preferred.
