Your Role
As a Preschool Special Education Teacher with EDU-AIDs, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young learners with diverse developmental and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals and early learning standards
- Conduct developmental assessments and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring
- Collaborate closely with parents, related service providers (OT, PT, SLP), and general education staff
- Adapt instructional strategies and materials to support varying levels of ability and communication styles
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Foster a positive, nurturing, and inclusive preschool environment that supports social-emotional and academic growth
What You’ll Need
- Valid New Jersey Certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with preschool or early childhood special needs students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, equity, and developmental growth for all learners
