Job Title: Long-Term Substitute (LTS) Special Education Teacher

About the Role:
We’re seeking a passionate Long-Term Substitute Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs in Bridgeport, CT. The role involves providing individualized instruction, maintaining compliance with IEPs, and fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction based on IEP goals and objectives
- Modify lessons and assessments to meet student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents
- Maintain student progress records and participate in PPT/IEP meetings
- Support classroom management and positive behavior strategies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s in Special Education preferred)
- CT Certification 165, 113, or eligibility required
- Experience with students with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours
Compensation: Competitive daily rate based on experience and certification
