EDR is seeking a versatile, team-oriented
Senior Planner to join our
Planning Practice Area in our Saratoga Springs or Syracuse, NY office. Qualified candidates will have master’s degree in Planning or similar field of study plus 5 years of practice in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Senior Planners will be responsible for coordinating project implementation with, and on behalf of, project managers including task delegation to appropriate staff in relevant practice areas, QA/QC of delegated work, tracking of internal and external deliverables, and overall project organization.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Planning.
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Proficiency with directing and completing all aspects of standard planning deliverables, such as local waterfront revitalization plans, comprehensive plans, local land use laws, and zoning regulations. Proficiency should include research, fieldwork, report writing, and preparation/coordination of figures/maps.
- Strong skillsets in technical writing, research and analysis, and public presentations.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop), ArcGIS, Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word) is extremely beneficial.
The anticipated
base pay range of $60,000 – $72,000 per year is commensurate with experience. EDR reserves the right to pay outside of the target range based on an individual’s education, credentials, skill level and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity, geographic location, and business needs.
